HELP PLEASE!!! im having contact problems?

ok when i put my contacts in or try to at least it will either fall out, sting like so much and makes my eyes tear up alot and makes them kinda sting a bit and lik turn redish, my contacts dont seem to stick to my eye at all. it mite be the soulution but i have tried some and its all the same. my dad put in some contacts lik for halloween and colored and he had same problems as i did so im wondering if its just a family kinda thing or something. btw i scared my cornea before on both eyes by woodchips so im wondering if its due to tht...PLZ HELP!!!
