What do you think of how people have usual names with unusal spellings?

I am not fond of it. As a former teacher I have came across students with bizarre names and when I pronounce them grammatically correct (with the correct short/long vowels) I get dirty looks. Clearly many people have no idea how grammar works and just randomly pick letters to make up a name; they call it unique, I do not. It really can be embarring in the long run for the child.
