Alaska Cruise Weather?

I went on a cruise to SE Alaska out of Vancouver in July several years ago. Temps will vary but it can be cool and rainy and when the ship is under way it's very cold and windy. Don't expect to sunbathe on deck on an Alaska cruise and don't take kids because they will be bored to death.
