Chemical engineering major or double major in math and chemistry?

I've wanted to be a math major since I was a 7th grader. However, after taking Honor's and AP chemistry these past two years, I've pretty much fallen in love with chemistry. While the idea of doing research, learning proofs, number theory etc. is enthralling, I'm not sure if a double major in math and chemistry would correlate well. Thoughts?
