He's afraid of me?

I'm 16, my brother is 12. I was diagnoised with mild paranoid scichophrenia and I used to cut myself. I spent 3 months at a mental hospital. Now I'm back, my brother is scared of me. It's because of movies he's seen that had psychos, mental hospitals, and mental patients. He's jumpy when I'm around, doen't want to be in the same room as me. I enter a room, he quickly runs out. He's terrified of me! He thinks I'm a psycho or something. He won't let me talk to him because he won't stay in the room long enough! My parents tried talking to him but it didn't work. I've been back for 4 months but he's still not coming around. I'm not emo or gothic, in fact, I'm the complete opposite. I'm 16, I'm on the cheerleading squad, people say I'm preppy, ditzy and bubbly, I'm only 5'4 and weight 115 pounds, so I'm not big and scary looking. What do I do to show him that I'm a harmless person.How do I get him not to be scared of me?
