Is it possible I'm pregnant?

I'm 20. About 4 months ago I stopped taking birth control pills because they made me insane. I had been taking them for 3 years and I tried a few different ones and they all made me miserable. So once I was off we used condoms. This month I haven't gotten my period. I did get a few cramps around the time I was supposed to have it but nothing happened. My are pretty sore too and sometimes I get very hungry although sometimes I'm not hungry at all. The condoms were never punctured as far as we know..nothing suspicious or anything and I know it was put on correctly.we didn't do anything for along amount of time so it couldn't have gotten worn and broke. Is it possible that it broke and we couldn't tell? Or could this be from coming off of the pills about 5 months ago? Please help! My bf thinks I'm crazy and says noway I'm pregnant (he would never leave me if I was.) Also I really don't want to goto a doctor because I don't have money for that and I have a very bad phobia of doctors.
