The upholstery on the ceiling in my car has come loose?

it is hanging down and it sits on top of my head when I am driving. How can I stick it back up until I can afford to have it fixed? I have tried small stick pins but whatever is under the upholstery is too soft to hold the pins in, so it just falls again. Please- any advice will be great.
