Why do Tarantino fans deny that he stole several parts of City on Fire to make Reservoir Dogs?

Because it's like being a big fan of a sports star, but admitting that he/she's not very good. Tarantino's fans are quite fanatical, and aren't willing to accept that he pays a great deal of homage to his own favourite actors/films.
